John, together with his wife Ann, established Choices in 1993 and steadily build up Choices business in both property letting and management and in block management. He was an engineer by trade so had a special affinity when dealing with building issues, block management repairs and advising landlords on repairs and refurbishments.
He established Choices property as the go to letting and management agency in Cork and spent tireless hours building up the business and cultivating relationships with landlords and stakeholders alike for over 30 year. He became involved in both IPAV and local Cork business associations and championed the small businesses here is Cork. He always tried to keep work local and in doing so, made significant connections with lots of local businesses here in Cork.
John passed away in March 2024 after a battle with illness which saw him tackle all the challenges he faced bravely and with the grace and attitude he was known for amongst those of us lucky enough to be his friend. He leaves behind, most importantly, his wife Ann, children Dylan, Jane and Sam, 4 wonderful grandkids, family and friends. Here at Choices, we are proud to build upon the legacy John left us with. His unending knowledge, calmness in dealing with any situation and his cheeky humour will always be missed around the office and we look forward to continuing to build the brand he started in the manor in which we know he would be proud of.
